Terms of Service

These terms apply to anyone who creates an account and uses Icebreak at joinicebreak.com.

Icebreak is a daily live online speaking practice platform. Members join live sessions, receive random speaking topics, and give and receive feedback from other members.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. One account per person.

By joining Icebreak you agree to:

• Keep your camera on during all sessions
• Treat other members with respect
• Give honest and constructive feedback
• Maintain appropriate appearance during sessions
• Not record sessions without explicit consent from all participants
• Not share other members' personal information outside of Icebreak

If you witness or experience inappropriate conduct during a session you must report it immediately to parker@joinicebreak.com. Include the date of the session and a description of the incident. We reserve the right to investigate and take action including permanent removal of any member found to have violated these terms.

We cannot guarantee real time moderation of all sessions. By using Icebreak you acknowledge this limitation and agree that our inability to monitor sessions in real time does not constitute negligence or liability on our part.

The following will result in immediate removal from Icebreak with no refund:

• Harassment, bullying, or abusive behavior toward other members
• Sexual or inappropriate conduct during sessions
• Sharing or distributing video recordings of sessions
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a ban
• Any illegal activity during sessions

Icebreak provides a platform for live peer to peer sessions. We do not monitor or moderate sessions in real time. By participating you acknowledge that:

• Sessions involve live unscripted interactions with other members
• Icebreak is not responsible for the conduct, statements, or actions of other members during sessions
• You participate in sessions voluntarily and at your own risk
• Any content shared during sessions is the sole responsibility of the member sharing it

Icebreak and its operators are not liable for any offensive, harmful, inappropriate, or illegal conduct by other members during sessions. We are not responsible for any damages, emotional distress, or harm arising from interactions with other members. By creating an account you release Icebreak and its operators from any claims arising from the conduct of other members.

Icebreak is currently offered free to early members. When paid plans are introduced:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
• You can cancel anytime from your portal
• Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
• No refunds for partial months except at our discretion
• Free trials convert automatically to paid unless cancelled before the trial ends

We offer a 7 day money back guarantee for new paid subscribers. After 7 days all payments are final. To request a refund email parker@joinicebreak.com.

All content, branding, and materials on Icebreak belong to Icebreak. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

Icebreak is a speaking practice platform and is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or medical treatment. Results vary by individual.

Live sessions involve real time interaction with strangers online. By participating you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of online live video communication including but not limited to exposure to unexpected or inappropriate content. You assume full responsibility for your decision to participate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Icebreak and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Icebreak shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to the claim.

By using Icebreak you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Icebreak and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses including legal fees arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your conduct during sessions.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms at our discretion.

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of Icebreak after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
